The pathology of asthma is irreversible bronchoconstriction from triggers.Risks are allergies and genes.The diagnostic test are Pulmonary Function test and Skin Testing.The cardinal signs are wheezing and dyspnea.The drug of choice during asthma attacks are (remember VAT) Ventolin/Allupent/Theodor and the drug used for maintainance Atrovent/Intal.The nursing concern are prevent triggers,the effect of steroids in children and proper MDI use.
